you are welcome here

Visiting a church for the first time can be tough. Whether you've been going to church for years, or if it's your very first time, you may have some questions.

Where do I park?  •  What do I wear?  •  How long is the service?

Where do my kids go?  •  Where do I sit?  •  Will I be singled out?

We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive at Thrive Church. You can find some answers below, and if you don't find what you're looking for let us know and we will try to answer your question.

WHERE DO I GO WHEN I GET THERE?

  • The first thing you'll notice is that we meet in an elementary school, not your normal church building, but we love it here. Click here for directions
  • There is plenty of parking on the North and East side of the school.
  • The entrance to the Worship Center and Kid's classes is located along the driveway next to Loraine Ave. You will be greeted by a someone wearing an Thrive Church name tag. (feel free to ask them for directions)
  • We have a refreshment table where you can grab a cup of coffee and a cookie.
  • As you walk into the church our greeting team will give you a bulletin and help you find a seat. (Scroll down to find out where kids go)

WHAT DO I WEAR?

  • Don't feel like you have to dress up.
  • Most people wear casual attire, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We offer children's church for children from birth - 6th grade. Safety and security are a priority for us, so all our teachers and volunteers are background checked. We also use an electronic check-in system that ensures that only authorized individuals can pick kids up from the classroom.

  • Tots: Infants and toddlers
  • Juniors: Pre-School - Kindergarten
  • Kids: 1st - 3rd Grade
  • J12: 4th - 6th Grade

WHAT'S THE SERVICE LIKE?

  • Our service lasts 1 1/2 hours (10:30 - 12:00)
  • We start by singing 3 - 4 songs. The words are displayed on the screen.
  • We take a few minutes after singing to say hi to each other. We are a friendly bunch, so don't be surprised if a few people say hello to you.
  • Someone will get up and talk about upcoming events and will pray for the tithes and offering.
  • Our Pastor will then share a biblically based sermon.
  • We close the service by singing one more song.
  • During the final song our ushers will come forward to receive the offering.
  • Someone will dismiss the congregation and the close of the service.
